d.u.g.s. does everything on a stick!

May 22nd, 2008 · No Comments

On Monday, d.u.g.s. wrapped up its 2007-2008 campaign with our last big event of the year. Kicking off May Days, we used the mighty skewer as a theme, we grilled scallops, shrimp, chicken, pork, Ahi tuna, bison, steak, tofu, and vegetables all in convenient kabob form.

d.u.g.s will serve the Black Student Alliance on Thursday the 22nd, and the senior barbeque the following week.

Looking to next year the Grilling Society will be back and better than ever, most notably with the purchase of our own towable grill. Several very exciting events are already on the table. We also hope to have a recipe section on our website very soon so you can enjoy great d.u.g.s. food every day!

See you in the Fall!

Greek Week!

April 21st, 2008 · No Comments

For the past week, d.u.g.s. has supported the Greek Life on campus in grilling for the annual Greek Week. On Monday, d.u.g.s. grilled up cheese burgers (not a normal cheeseburger, but out special steakhouse burger with d.u.g.s. seasoning mix) for 450 hungry fraternity and sorority members. On Saturday, we grilled chicken drumsticks and thighs, that were brined and served with barbecue sauce, and soy-lime-ginger marinated flank steak (always a hit) to 250 students. As a whole, we were very pleased with the event and look forward to partnering with Greek life on campus in the future!

Keep an eye out on the website and around campus for information about our upcoming events. May is going to be busy!

Enjoy the spring weather and happy grilling from your d.u.g.s. grillmasters!
